Chapter 08
Out of the Void into the Fire
It seemed like an eternity in the void when Tony finally came back and told Wright that
his plan was going exactly how he planned it and that there was no way for him to stop
him. Wright just smiled and let out a little laugh, he told him he already knew how to
stop him and that he was already working on it. Tony laughed and told Wright “You
know nothing and you won’t find a way in time to stop my little game of murder.”
Wright looked at Tony and said “We will see how this all turns out”. When Tony
disappeared as did the void, Wright was back in the stairwell leading God knows
where, but he was happy to be out. Wright started walking up the stairs as he heard
what sounded like a banshee screaming or crying, he really couldn’t tell but he didn’t
like the sound. When he got half way up the screaming got louder, it seemed like it was
coming at him so he rushed up hoping he could avoid it. The words of Tony kept
echoing in his ear, about how he wouldn’t be able to stop his little game of murder.
When Wright got further up he saw this beautiful woman just standing on the steps,
she asked him if he thought she was beautiful in a soft voice and of course Wright told
her she was. Then like a scene out of a horror movie she opened her mouth and was cut
from ear to ear and screamed, “DO YOU STILL THINK I’M BEAUTIFUL.” Wright
quickly took a few steps back as she rushed towards him screeching her banshee
scream.
When she got to Wright she passed right through him and disappeared, like she was
never even there and the screaming stopped. Wright looked around for any signs that
what he saw was really there but there was nothing but silence. Wright looked at his
watch, it was now 12:13am, he now had less than ten hours before Tony did what he
was going to do so he needed to hurry. Wright hated the number thirteen, his mother
died on October 13, 1944 when he was just 17 years old. Wright continued to walk to
the end of the stairs when then realized it was October 13, 1962. The only day of the
year he hated, not only did his mother die on October 13 but his wife died on October
13, 1950 by two men that worked for Tony. Wright continued to walk, when it seemed
like it wasn’t going to end it reached what at first looked like a dead end but when
Wright took a closer look there was a way out. Wright pushed on what he assumed was
a wood bookshelf, when it stepped into the new room it was hot in there like someone
cranked up the heat as high as it would go just to make people miserable. When Wright
looked around he saw four boilers in the room and figured he was in the boiler room
which would explain the heat.
Wright left the room and found himself in the basement, but a part of the basement he
didn’t know about.
